1. Valentine's Day is a holiday that celebrates (romantic) love - a day when lovers express their feeling for each other, often by exchanging gifts.

2. Chocolate, flowers, and jewelry are all (typical) Valentine's Day presents.

3. The most traditional gift on this day is a Valentine's Day (card), which has a written message saying how much someone means to you.

4. Other modern symbols are the heart-shaped outline (shape of a heart) and the figure of Cupid, usually shown shooting his bow to (inspire) romantic love.

5. Many couples go out on romantic (dates) on Valentine's Day.

6. An example of the above is a (candlelight) dinner in a romantic restaurant.

7. When a boy asks you to be his "valentine", he wants you to simply (except/accept) the fact that he likes you. Sometimes this can also mean that he wants to (spend) time with you on Valentine's Day.

8. A (sweetheart) is a slightly outdated term meaning "the one I love".

9. If you're buying your loved one a (dozen) roses, it means you're buying her/him 12 roses.

10. Wow! What a beautiful (bouquet)! ( = arrangement of flowers usually given as a present).

New year's resolutions

• This 2012 I'll be more organizated because in 2011 I had a lot of problems doing homerwork. I'll keep my bedroom clear and without papers and notebooks. I also must play tennis and do more exercice physical, because I don't have resistence. The main resolution is be stronger that 2011 because I'm weak and thin. I'll spend more time with my friends and enjoy more the life.

Experiences.

I've been in the Golden Bridge (London) last summer. I went with my parents, they have never gone with me out of Spain.
I have been in Paris and I have visited the Arch of Triomf. It was amazing! I bought some presents to my family.
I have eaten Thai food in Empuribrava but I didn't liked it.
I never have seen the Pacific Ocean but i'm so afraid because I heart some accidents in there.
I never have been out of Europe. And I would like it.

When Mary was young she was very beautiful. She went to the final party with a ugly boy. But when they become adults they met other time and he fell in love. But now, there are a lot of men who love Mary. He has a lot of problems but finally he become Mary's boyfriend.

impossible is nothing

Impossible is nothing

Improve my tennis tournaments. I want grow up my tennis level trying to win the finals of the tournaments. Becoming quicker, hitting more strong the ball and playing faster than my opponents.

My problems are: I will be tired, I won't have much hours to study, It's very difficult and the opponents are every year stronger. That problems can be a reason to leave this sport but you have to fight for your dreams.

Some solutions are: Sleep more hours, become happy, study hard and make an effort to be better.

Dear James,

I'm on holiday for three months!! I'm in París. I stay in a hotel near the Torre Eiffel. I can watch it through a window. I'm here with some friends and a tennis coach. Our car is broken because we had a mechanical fail. The food is really bad!!. Yesterday we visited The Arch of Triomf.

We are doing an international tournament. The best players of the world every year come to Paris for play the tournament. We are little young but we can fight to win some matches. The tennis club is very beautiful and there are a lot of visitors.

Last year I fail maths and in summer I want study for next year because I can't fail that subject in 4^th ESO. I also fail Catalan but next year I will past all the exams. Catalan's teacher was really bad and he didn't pass me for half a point.

Last week when we were in Spain we watch a film called “Seven lives”. It wasn't good because it has a tragical end. And the main actor was the worst actor in the world.

A day in my life

The most interesting day is Saturday. On Saturday I don't have homework, I don't have to get up early in the morning, I can meet friends, I can go to the cinema....

Saturdays I usually get up at ten o'clock. I have a shower, I have breakfast and I go to the tennis club. The tennis is always full of people and little children. We always play tennis one hour and a half. After the training we stay some minutes speaking and deciding the afternoon's plane.

When I arrive at home I must walk the dog and buy some goods in the supermarket. I usually buy chips, coca-cola and ice-creams. I have lunch with my family. At two o'clock when we finish the lunch I go to my sitting room and I watch the television.

At three o'clock sometimes I have a tennis match. This match is played in Empuriabrava and not often in a different tennis. We play with teams, every team has its representatives and there are different categories of leagues. My friends often watch the match and after that we go to any house to play.

At night we go to the cinema. It don't care the film, but we always eat pop corn and drinks. After the film we always go to have a dinner near the cinema. After the dinner we walk and talk for one-two hours.

This is a day of may life.
